Equipment

What goesin the room

The systems we specify, supply, and support. Multi-vendor by design, so the equipment is chosen against the load rather than against a single manufacturer’s catalogue.

Method

How a build runs, start to finish

How the four lines of work fit together on a single project.

  1. 01Load calculationWhat the room has to carry, worked out from the equipment rather than from a rule of thumb. Every decision after this one inherits the number.
  2. 02Concept and capacityBusiness needs and capacity planning turned into an operating envelope: density per rack, redundancy target, and the set points the white space has to hold.
  3. 03Shop drawingsThe design package drawn to build from, with the electrical, mechanical, security and telecommunications work developed as one coherent set instead of four.
  4. 04RFPA tender document specific enough that the bids you get back can be compared against each other on something other than price.
  5. 05BuildConstruction, the power path, heat rejection, detection and suppression, then racks, containment and pre-terminated cabling. One accountable contract from site selection to the last patch lead.
  6. 06CommissioningFormal testing under load, so the redundancy on the drawing is demonstrated in the room rather than assumed.
  7. 07HandoverAs-built drawings, standard operating procedures, methods of procedure, and the risk mitigation manual, written for the people who will use them at three in the morning.
  8. 08MaintenanceRound-the-clock cover from a team based locally, with spares already on the shelf and escalation to specialists rather than to a queue.
